Assuming they can heal the bugs and quirks in X or the general Linux video & sound system then its "just easier" with a console. Vista pushes video quite a bit more than XP, so it might be that upgrading the video adapter will help significantly as well. -- Barry Schnur 512MB may be enough if you don't run Aero or anything fancy. Typically you'll want at least 1-2 GB, so a new system with 512 MB is a little disturbing.

I ran the tool on my 32 bit installation and passed with flying colours ;) My pc will definitely run Vista with Aero. So presumably 32bit stuff is ok.
